Low Cost Airline Guide
Brasil Rodo-Aereo, known as BRA launched in 1999 by two brothers, Humberto and Walter Folegatti. The name is a play on the Portuguese word for "bus company" and the 50 million Brazilian passengers that take bus trips of more than eight hours is their target market. By convincing bus passengers to make the switch and travel by air BRA has become largest charter service in the country. In 2004, BRA flights carried 5% of the country's 30 million airline passengers.
